Colin Cowherd has made it no secret that he has an extremely low opinion of the New York Jets. But he believes that the best thing for them might be to avoid trading for Aaron Rodgers at all.
On Friday’s edition of The Herd, Cowherd applauded the Jets for reportedly standing firm by not giving the Green Bay Packers a first-round pick as part of a trade for Rodgers. He believes that the Jets won’t win a Super Bowl even with Rodgers so it’s not worth the investment in the first place.
“Let’s be honest. Aaron’s not winning a Super Bowl with this team in the AFC,” Cowherd said.
Cowherd pointed out that the Jets’ schedule is too difficult for them to make any headway with Rodgers as their quarterback. For what he believes is a one-year rental for Rodgers, he thinks they would be better off going in a different direction.

The New York Jets have a roster that may be capable of reaching the playoffs with the right quarterback under center and Aaron Rodgers would arguably be the best quarterback they’ve ever had – even if he isn’t playing at an MVP level.
Unfortunately, the Jets are out of alternatives. They missed on all of the free agent and less expensive trade options and are basically Rodgers Or Bust this offseason.
The only other option is to continue riding with Zach Wilson, a decision which would likely lead to a bottom-five finish and everyone in the organization losing their jobs.
