Colin Cowherd Has Harsh Prediction For Green Bay Packers

As much as people have been talking up Packers QB Jordan Love this offseason, that position still remains a bit of a question mark for Green Bay going into its first year post-Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers have won 13 games in three of the last four seasons. But FOX Sports 1’s Colin Cowherd believes this year’s Green Bay team could be closer to five.

Jordan Love according to 50 scouts, executives, coaches, coordinators… is in Tier-4. One spot ahead of Baker Mayfield, two spots ahead of Sam Howell and two spots below the last player taken Brock Purdy, two years ago. … There is a quote from an offensive person in the NFL: ‘… My initial read is he doesn’t process the game well enough.’ Here’s what I do know, Detroit and Chicago are going to be better this year in the Packers’ division and Minnesota is better.

“I think it’s very possible the Packers are a 5 win team.”

Cowherd went on to say that this could be a year where Green Bay ends up picking fifth or sixth in the draft. Which he doesn’t necessarily see as a bad thing:

I think when you look at Green Bay and look at their schedule they got no breaks. … Look at the quarterbacks they face: Mahomes, Russell Wilson, Justin Herbert, Kirk Cousins, Matt Stafford, Jared Goff twice… If Jordan Love is a ‘C’ quarterback, this is a five-win team. … I could absolutely see them winning four games. … Every year a team ends up drafting in the top 6-7 that we didn’t see coming. I think Green Bay is that team.

The NFC North will definitely be more competitive than in years past. We’ll see how Love fares in his first season running the show.
