Things have been extremely quiet on the Aaron Rodgers trade front, but that appears to be changing according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Per RapSheet: “After a dormant couple weeks, the Jets and Packers recently re-engaged on trade talks surrounding star QB Aaron Rodgers, sources say. A deal is not imminent, but the two sides are at least talking — with hopes a deal can (finally) be done this week.”

It feels like forever ago that Aaron Rodgers re-emerged from the darkness on the “Pat McAfee Show” and revealed that he intends to play for the Jets next season.
Since then New York and Green Bay have had discussions but there’s seemingly been no urgency to get a deal done by either side.
The Packers find themselves in a position of power considering they have the asset that the Jets desire and don’t really need to trade him if they don’t receive the desired compensation.
Predictably though, it makes sense that things are starting to once again heat up with the draft just four days away.
