Boise State draft prospects for Packers fans to watch during College Football Playoff

December 31, 2024 by Packers Wire

By now even your grandma, who only watches The Price is Right, Days of Our Lives and the local news, knows all about Ashton Jeanty. The Boise State running back is the top running back in college football and is a safe bet to be a Top 20 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Aside from Jeanty, the Broncos have a pair of prospects that the Green Bay Packers could target on Day 3 of the draft.

Ahmed Hassanein, Edge

Over the past two seasons, Hassanein has recorded 21 sacks, 30 tackles for loss and 113 pressures. Hassanein is a power-packed edge rusher with strong hands to sledgehammer through offensive tackles. As a run defender, he sets a hard edge and competes with consistent effort. According to Pro Football Focus, Hassanein has recorded a total of 58 run stops the past two seasons.

Kage Casey, OT

Only a redshirt sophomore, Casey will have his hands full against Penn State edge rushers, Abdul Carter and Dani Dennis-Sutton. During his second season as the starting left tackle, Casey has given up zero sacks and five pressures. The Oregon native is more likely to come out during the 2026 NFL Draft, but with a strong performance against Carter, a lock to be a Top 10 pick, could push Casey the other direction and have him declare for the upcoming draft.
