The Green Bay Packers’ continued their dominance over the Chicago Bears with a 38-20 season-opening win in the Windy City on Sunday.
Jordan Love, Green Bay’s new starting quarterback, played well in victory, hitting on 15-of-27 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns. Not everyone was impressed with the 2020 first-round pick who spent three seasons backing up Aaron Rodgers though.
After the game, Bears safety Jaquan Brisker promised that the Packers would “get theirs” and threw in a dig at Love while speaking with reporters.
“I don’t even know how to answer that,” Brisker said, via NBCSports Chicago. “He’s just Jordan Love. Number 10. Packers quarterback. He’s nothing special.”
“He’s nothing special.”
The Jordan Love era looked just like the Aaron Rodgers era on the scoreboard Sunday. Jaquan Brisker wasn’t impressed with the Packers QB and will keep one eye on the rematch in Week 18.
“They’ll get theirs.”

Considering the Bears have lost nine games in a row to Green Bay and are 4-24 since 2010 against their longtime rivals, it might behoove Brisker to be more judicious with his words.
Chicago will look to bounce back in Tampa against the Buccaneers in Week 2, while the Packers take on the Falcons in Atlanta.
The two teams will reconvene at Lambeau Field in the regular season finale in January, where the Packers will look to tie their longest all-time win streak against the Bears.
