It has been nearly a month since Aaron Rodgers said his intention is to play for the New York Jets in 2023.
The Jets and Green Bay Packers have yet to agree to a trade involving the four-time MVP. According to the latest intel from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there hasn’t been much conversation between the two sides in a while.
On NFL Live Tuesday afternoon, Schefter indicated that there’s “not a whole lot there” in terms of recent trade discussions.
“My understanding is there hasn’t been a whole lot of conversation, if any, over the last couple of weeks, going back to the owners meetings,” Schefter told Laura Rutledge. “And so both sides now appear to be dug in, and we’ll see whether or not anything changes as we head up to the draft.”

The Jets and Packers still have two weeks to agree to a deal before the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. There’s no need to panic at this point.
However, the longer this drags out, and the more both teams “dig in,” the Green Bay and New York fanbases will start to worry.
