Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers may soon have to undergo surgery on his toe.
Rodgers explained to Pat MacAfee on Tuesday that both he and the Packers are hoping to avoid surgery.
The good news is even if surgery is inevitable, he wouldn’t miss too much time. In fact, if Rodgers underwent toe surgery on Monday or Tuesday he could probably play on Sunday.
It doesn’t sound like Rodgers’ potential toe surgery is very serious.
“We’re hoping to avoid surgery obviously but it’d be so minor that I wouldn’t miss any time.. I could have surgery on Monday or Tuesday & play on Sunday,” Rodgers said.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur doesn’t sound too worried about Aaron Rodgers’ toe injury.
But he did admit Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a noticeable limp.
“I don’t know the timeframe for that to heal. I know he’s battling through. As the game goes on, you can tell he has a more noticeable limp. But he’s as tough as they come,” LaFleur said.
Aaron Rodgers’ injury hasn’t been too much of a setback so far.
The veteran passer completed 28 of his 45 pass attempts for 307 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers’ 36-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday.
Rodgers will get some much-needed rest this weekend due to the Packers’ bye.
