Aaron Rodgers may have left the Green Bay Packers on unsavory terms, but there’s one thing he’s still passionate about in Green Bay: Beating the Chicago Bears.
In Week 1 Green Bay’s new starter and Rodgers’ former protege Jordan Love led the team to a decisive 38-20 win over the Bears. Despite dealing with his own issues in New York, Rodgers made time to message Love after his performance.
Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show today, Rodgers revealed that he messaged Love after the game against the Bears:
“Congratulations on keeping the ownership in place,” Rodgers said.
The win gave the Packers their ninth straight win over their century-long rivals. Their winning streak stretches all the way to 2018.

In his first year as the Chicago Bears’ starter, Jordan Love is quickly proving to be a more than worthy successor to Rodgers. While his completion rate still needs to improve, he led the NFL in touchdowns, touchdowns per attempt, interception rate and passer rating through the first two weeks.
Rodgers has moved on from Green Bay and it appears the Packers are finally happy that they have too.
