Last week, the Wall Street Journal published a story reporting that Green Bay Packers’ star quarterback Aaron Rodgers was suffering from a “covid toe.”
Earlier in the week, Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show that he had “COVID toe,” though he appeared to be joking. Well, the Wall Street Journal didn’t take it as a joke.
The WSJ wrote an article about Rodgers’ claim that he was suffering from covid toe. Rodgers eventually clarified that he suffered a broken toe and made it clear he was joking about having covid toe.
On Tuesday afternoon, he made another appearance on the Pat McAfee Show and said he spoke with the reporter who wrote the article.
“I had a very respectful conversation with Andrew who wrote the Covid Toe article at Wall Street Journal. I think it’s pretty obvious if you’re watching this show when I’m joking and when I’m serious,” Rodgers said on the show.

While most of those in the sports world know Rodgers has a unique sense of humor, he might want to be a little more careful in the future.
As for the football side of this, Rodgers played through the broken toe just fine over the weekend. He racked up 307 yards and two touchdowns during the team’s 36-28 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
