Aaron Rodgers and former Packers blindside protector David Bakhtiari had a friendly back-and-forth on social media that ended with a bit of of a dig at the offensive lineman’s weight.
After posting a picture of himself with a bunch of others at Proactive Sports Performance Gym on Instagram, Rodgers asked Bakhtiari where he was at.
The All-Pro left tackle shot back that he was “too busy training and not posing for a photo.” To which the Jets QB replied, “Probably laying around getting fat.”
Rodgers’ response seemed to be just some lighthearted fun, but it’s usually best not to mess with a professional athlete that stands 6-foot-4 310-pounds and hits people for a living.
Nevertheless, Rodgers would probably love to have Bakhtiari with him in Gotham Green this season, as the Jets boast one of the smallest offensive lines in the NFL.
The three-time Pro Bowler will look to get back into Pro Bowl form after fighting some injuries over the past couple seasons.
