The Green Bay Packers have reportedly offered a significant contract to Aaron Rodgers.
Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Packers have made a “strong push” on a deal for Rodgers that’s expected to be three-to-four years.
Fowler is also reporting that when this is all over, Rodgers will likely be the NFL’s highest-paid player.
This makes sense considering how great Rodgers was last season. Yes, he didn’t lead the Packers to the Super Bowl, but he still won the NFL’s MVP Award for the second year in a row.
He finished this past season with 37 touchdowns and four interceptions while throwing for 4,115 yards.
If Rodgers decides to turn down this deal but continue playing, the Packers will have no choice but to trade him.
The Broncos have long been rumored to be a top destination for Rodgers, as have the Steelers.
Both teams are also in need of a new quarterback for next season. With the new league year set to begin in 10 days, it’s only a matter of time until Rodgers makes a decision.
