All needs aren’t created equal. Some are long-term focused. Others need more immediate attention.
The Green Bay Packers will go into the 2024 NFL draft with several positions needing both an influx of talent and numbers for right now. These are the positions where rookie contributors are almost certainly required.
Some “need” positions must be categorized differently. Running back, for instance. The Packers have Josh Jacobs, A.J. Dillon and Emanuel Wilson. Do the Packers need a potential long-term answer or upgrade on Dillon? Sure. But the Packers could play a game today and be fine at running back. A similar argument could be made for cornerback and a few other spots.
