Where Wisconsin targets are taking official visits to this weekend

Quite a few targets remain on the board for the Badgers. What competition is still remaining?

The Wisconsin Badgers have compiled quite a target list with official visits this offseason, with three different groups of players visiting Madison over the past few weekends.

Now, Wisconsin is in wait-and-see mode with a number of its top targets, with many taking official visits elsewhere this weekend. Let’s break down that full list:

Running Back

3-star Amari Latimer: Georgia

Latimer’s recruitment has been interesting so far, as he took an official visit to Wisconsin and then returned for an unofficial visit the weekend after with his family.

He then skipped out on a visit to Texas, instead heading to Georgia Tech, and is now scheduled to finish out his official visits with a trip to Georgia this weekend.

Wide Receiver

4-star Jayden Petit: Missouri

Wisconsin filled out at wide receiver with the commitment of four-star Zion Legree this past weekend. But, if there’s a player they’ll make room for, it’s four-star Florida wideout Jayden Petit.

Petit has quite a few heavy hitters after him, taking official visits to Oklahoma and North Carolina, but it’s notable he also returned to Madison for an unofficial visit earlier this week after his official visit during the weekend of June 6th.

He’ll wrap up his summer visits with a trip to Missouri this weekend.

Offensive Line

4-star Kamari Blair: Tennessee

Wisconsin has two targets along the offensive line still uncommitted: Kamari Blair and Wilson Zierer.

Zierer is done with visits, while Blair wraps up with Tennessee this weekend. A Tennessee native, the Volunteers are definitely a school to watch, while Blair has also seen Ole Miss and South Carolina.

Defensive Line/Outside Linebacker

4-star Jackson Ford: Michigan

3-star Ben Duncum: Kentucky

Ford has visited Penn State and Ohio State in back-to-back weekends after opening with Wisconsin during the first weekend of official visits. Now, Michigan is up to bat.

Duncum, on the other hand, saw Wisconsin this past weekend, which was a key visit for the outside linebacker. The Texas native then had a midweek visit with Kansas State, which offered earlier this month, and finishes up at Kentucky this weekend.

Cornerback

3-star Jamyan Theodore: Louisville

Theodore visited Wisconsin this past weekend, and seems to be the team’s top remaining target at cornerback.

The visit definitely helped the Badgers get up there, but the Volunteers are interested, and he’s an in-state recruit. Louisville is the final visit for him in the summer at the moment, and that comes this weekend.

Safety

3-star Chase Geter: Syracuse

3-star Jowell Combay: Tennessee

Wisconsin has quite a few safety targets on its radar, but three-star recruits Nick Reddish and Tony Forney don’t have official visits planned currently (Forney could take a Pitt visit) for the weekend.

However, perhaps the two priority targets of the group do indeed have visits. Chase Geter is heading to Syracuse, while Jowell Combay is seeing Tennessee.

After landing three-star Zachary Taylor, the Badgers are in a good spot at the position. We’ll see where their priorities lie with the remainder of their board and how things shape out.
