The No. 7 Wisconsin Badgers (12-2, 5-1 Big Ten) restarted their win streak, sweeping unranked Maryland Terrapins (7-9, 0-6 Big Ten), after previously falling to the Nittany Lions.
The Badgers had revenge in their systems after falling to a sweep by the Penn State Nittany Lions Oct. 10. Without starting setter, sophomore Charlie Fuerbringer, Wisconsin had to put in their all against Maryland. Fuerbringer experienced a shoulder injury during their game against Michigan Oct. 5.
Wisconsin fought hard in the first set, with two early service errors from Maryland, the Badgers knew they could take the first set. Senior outside-hitter Mimi Colyer had an outstanding five kills in the first set, assisted by freshman setter Addy Horner to put the Badgers over the Terrapins 25-20.

Maryland came back right away in the second set, with two serving aces against the Badgers, followed by a kill from senior rightside Ajack Malual to set the Terrapins above the Badgers 3-0.
But, the Badgers weren’t finished yet. Wisconsin went on a 4-0 scoring streak midway through the second set with help from Horner and freshman outside hitter Madison Quest, who ended the second set with four kills against, putting the Badgers ahead 25-19.
With a sweep on their mind, Wisconsin powered through the third set, doubling Maryland’s score.
Wisconsin went on a 7-0 scoring run early in the first set, holding the Terrapins to only two points, setting the score at 9-2.
The Badgers put up a phenomenal performance to end the third set with a kill from senior middle blocker Carter Booth, setting the score at 25-12. Booth had six kills and three block assists against the Terrapins.
The Badgers are set to face the UCLA Bruins Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. back at the University of Wisconsin Fieldhouse, facing former Wisconsin sophomore libero Lola Schumacher.
