Wisconsin got a nice commitment at a key position on Sunday morning.
The Wisconsin Badgers landed a commitment from 2026 three-star defensive lineman Arthur Scott, he announced on Sunday, marking the first verbal pledge that the team got following the weekend’s official visits.
It was a jam-packed weekend for the Badgers, who hosted over a dozen of their top targets across the board, hoping to close out a number of recruitments as they’ve done in years past.
That came true for Scott, who became a priority defensive line target after Wisconsin missed out on former targets Jake Johnson and King Liggins, who went to USC and Illinois, respectively.
Scott, a 6’3, 290-pound defensive lineman from Ohio, had official visits to Rutgers, Michigan State, and Cincinnati planned after this weekend, but popped to Wisconsin after his first official visit.
He is the second defensive line commit, joining Carmelow Reed, and the eighth overall pledge for the Badgers in the class. He’ll bring an interior presence, which matches well for Wisconsin’s new-look defense, while Reed is more of an outside linebacker/edge tweener who has the versatility to move inside.
Now, can the Badgers build on their momentum and finish out a strong weekend?
