The Badgers got their third straight victory in a big way on Saturday.
The Wisconsin Badgers got their third straight victory on Saturday with a 23-3 win over the Northwestern Wildcats, improving to 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.
It was another big win for the Badgers, but this one had a different tone to it, as the team relied on their defense and run game to churn out a 20-point victory.
Offensively, the Badgers saw some struggles in the passing game, as Braedyn Locke had two turnovers, but the run game was stout behind a strong offensive line, with lead back Tawee Walker going for over 100 yards again, while averaging 5.6 yards per carry.
Defensively, Wisconsin had arguably their best performance of the year, as they shut down Cam Porter in the run game, while limiting quarterback Jack Lausch to just 82 yards on 9/24 passing.
Following the game, Badgers insider Rohan Chakravarthi shared his instant reaction to the Badgers’ 23-3 win over the Northwestern Wildcats, pointing out the major takeaways from the game.
With the win, Wisconsin goes to 5-2 on the season and they get a big challenge next weekend, as the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions are coming to town in a primetime matchup on Saturday night.
