Chucky Hepburn is looking to make his mark with the Toronto Raptors.
The Wisconsin Badgers saw one player drafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, as star guard John Tonje went to the Utah Jazz with the No. 53 pick. In addition, they saw another, center Steven Crowl, sign an Exhibit 10 deal with the Jazz.
However, those two weren’t the only former Badgers to earn NBA opportunities this summer. Former point guard Chucky Hepburn, who spent the final season of his college career with the Louisville Cardinals, signed a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors after going undrafted.
Hepburn starred as a senior at Louisville, averaging 16.4 points and 5.8 assists per game, while being a defensive menace, recording 2.4 steals per game.
He becomes one of the latest young additions to the Raptors, looking to prove themselves during NBA Summer League, which kicked off last week. How has he fared so far?
So far, the Raptors have played three games, winning all three. Hepburn has been a key reserve off the bench, averaging 14 minutes per night.
Toronto blew out the Chicago Bulls 116-72 in his debut, where Hepburn posted two points, four assists, three rebounds, a steal, a turnover, and four fouls in 14 minutes of action. He shot 1/5 from the field and 0/4 from deep.
In his second career game, Hepburn saw 15 minutes of action, scoring six points on 2/4 from deep, while dishing out four assists and recording two steals to go with two turnovers and four fouls.
The Raptors played again on Tuesday night, and Hepburn saw 13 minutes of action this time, scoring three points on 1/6 from the field, including 1/5 from deep. He also had four assists, a rebound, a steal, and three turnovers.
Hepburn will get his next opportunity to see the floor when Toronto faces off against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday evening for their fourth Summer League game.
