The Badgers got a big commitment from a top wideout in the country on Sunday.

The Wisconsin Badgers secured a commitment from 2026 four-star wide receiver Zion Legree, he announced on Sunday.

The commitment came after Legree was on an official visit to Madison this weekend, reuniting with Badgers sophomore quarterback Danny O’Neil, who was a former 7-on-7 teammate in high school.

Legree, known for his speed on the boundary, stands 6’1, 190 pounds and has run a 4.35 40-yard dash.

A key part of his recruitment was the relationship with wide receivers coach Jordan Reid, who started recruiting the wideout as a freshman. Reid was at Western Michigan at the time.

Legree was a longtime commit to Ole Miss, having verbally pledged to the Rebels back in November of 2024. But, he de-committed from the program back on May 31st, and Wisconsin was the first team to get an official visit for him.

Ultimately, it took just one official visit for Legree to commit. He joins three-star Tayshon Bardo as the two wide receivers in Wisconsin’s 2026 class currently.

Wisconsin is still looking for a third receiver in the class, with three-star Zachary Washington and four-star Jayden Petit as their top targets. Both came to Madison on official visits during the final weekend in May and have some strong competition vying for their commitments.

Washington has gone on official visits to Michigan State and West Virginia. Petit, on the other hand, has visited Oklahoma and North Carolina, with a visit to Missouri coming next weekend.
