Big Ten QB Reportedly Entering Transfer Portal

We have a late addition to the quarterback pool in the NCAA transfer portal heading into the 2024 college football season.

According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, Wisconsin quarterback Nick Evers is set to enter the transfer portal once again. Evers joined the Badgers last year after playing the previous season for the Oklahoma Sooners.

However, Evers was unable to secure any playing time with the Badgers under head coach Luke Fickell last season. Another ex-Sooner, quarterback Tanner Mordecai, got the bulk of the snaps at quarterback and was the team’s leading passer as they went 7-6 in 2023.

Coming out of high school in 2022, Evers was the No. 137 overall prospect in the class. He was the No. 8 quarterback in the nation and the No. 24 prospect from the state of Texas.

As a freshman, Evers didn’t see the field much either, throwing only one pass all season.

Fans are sending Evers their well-wishes but aren’t sure if he’ll be able to be an impact quarterback after all of the moving around he’s done so far.

“Lot of positive reports out of Wisconsin on Evers this spring. High upside passer I think will have options,” one user wrote on X.

“It’s a crazy crazy time and I’m really pulling for Nick Evers. In this era of transfer portal and NIL chaos. it can be a real challenge to find a solid landing place. Standing with you, @NickEvers12,” another fan wrote.

“Figured this was going to happen. This sucks. Hope he finds a good landing spot,” wrote a third.

Where do you think Evers will go next?
