Wisconsin still has one safety in their 2026 class.
The Wisconsin Badgers saw another official visitor come off the board when 2026 three-star safety Tony Forney committed to the Missouri Tigers on Friday.
Forney, a native of Kell, Georgia, had been one of several safeties to visit Wisconsin this summer. He took only two total visits, Missouri and Wisconsin, ahead of his commitment date.
The Tigers seemed to be trending throughout the month, having a big need in the secondary, with Forney becoming their first commit so far in the 2026 class at the position.
Wisconsin had also hosted three-star Zachary Taylor, four-star Messiah Tilson, three-star Nick Reddish, three-star Chase Geter, and three-star Jowell Combay on official visits.
Taylor is the lone commit of the group, while Tilson and Geter are off the board to Rutgers and Syracuse, respectively. Meanwhile, Reddish and Combay are on the verge of making their commitments. The former is slated to announce his decision on July 11th, while the latter will make his on July 9th.
Wisconsin has more optimism with Combay’s recruitment, although both are trending elsewhere heading into the week of the announcement.
The Badgers currently have just two defensive back commits in the 2026 class: Taylor and three-star cornerback Carsen Eloms.
