The Badgers are looking to close on one of their top targets in the entire 2026 class.
The Wisconsin Badgers have seen some success with their 2026 recruiting class in the month of April, landing four commitments over the past three weeks, with the latest being three-star offensive lineman Maddox Cochrane.
Now, they’re trending as a finalist for another priority target: four-star running back Amari Latimer.
The Badgers have been in the mix for Latimer for quite some time, and were named as one of his final six schools alongside Georgia, Michigan, Texas, Florida State, and Tennessee.
Wisconsin was able to secure an official visit for the last weekend of May, which is when a number of their priority targets are expected to be on campus.
Texas and Miami are the two other schools that currently have an official visit scheduled for Latimer, with the former one coming fairly recently.
The Badgers landed Latimer’s brother, cornerback Geimere Latimer, in the transfer portal from Jacksonville State this past offseason, which could be a drawing factor to getting the four-star running back.
After not getting a commitment from a running back in the 2025 class, the position is a priority in the upcoming cycle, with Latimer leading the board of Wisconsin’s targets.
