The Badgers are firmly in the mix for arguably their top wide receiver target in the 2026 class.
The Wisconsin Badgers have cracked the top group for 2026 three-star wide receiver Zachary Washington, he announced on Thursday.

Washington also had Ole Miss, Missouri, Indiana, Kansas State, Michigan State, and West Virginia in his final group.
The 6’2, 180-pound wide receiver from Illinois has been near or at the top of Wisconsin’s list at the position, having taken several visits to Madison throughout his recruitment. Multiple coaches have also stopped by for an in-home visit for the wide receiver.
Former wide receivers coach Kenny Guiton and current position coach Jordan Reid have both been significantly involved in his recruitment.
Now looking ahead to official visits, Washington has ones planned to Wisconsin, Indiana, West Virginia, and Michigan State, with the Badgers getting the first crack at the wideout.
Wisconsin currently has a commitment from three-star Indiana wide receiver Tayshon Bardo in its 2026 class. Looking to take one to two more, Washington would be an addition for the perimeter.
The Badgers are also hosting three-star wide receivers Jayden Petit, Owen Cabell, and Dallas Dickerson on official visits later next month. If they can land two of their four top targets, that would round out the position for the 2026 cycle.
