The Badgers could be adding to the defensive line with a visit coming soon.
The Wisconsin Badgers are hosting Grand Valley State transfer defensive lineman Jay’viar Suggs on a visit, he announced on social media.

After recently entering the transfer portal, Wisconsin was one of the first teams to reach out and a visit was subsequently booked for the in-demand defensive lineman.
Standing at 6’3, 280 pounds, Suggs had five sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss for Grand Valley State in 2023, including a three-game stretch at least one sack per game.
Suggs has a connection to Wisconsin, as he was teammates with Nyzier Fourqurean and was coached by outside linebackers coach Matt Mitchell when the trio was at Grand Valley State prior to last season.
The Badgers have been looking for defensive linemen in the transfer portal, recently hosting Kent State transfer C.J. West, and Suggs is the next target on the board for Wisconsin.
Wisconsin has lost T.J. Bollers to the transfer portal along the defensive line this spring, following a number of other departures from the fall at the position group.
