The Badgers offered and hosted a top cornerback in the 2027 class.
After offering him a scholarship in January, the Wisconsin Badgers brought 2027 cornerback Ace Alston in for a spring visit last Saturday.
I had a great day visiting @BadgerFootball ‼️ The practice was intense in the campus is beautiful. @Haynes_Badgers thanks for taking the time to teach me ways to prepare and the importance of development. #Badgers @CoachFick @Coach_Mitch_ @CoachEvanDreyer @AHS_TDClub pic.twitter.com/mFg1u5MYtV

“The visit compared to my expectations was good because when I think of Wisconsin, I think big Power 5 school that can compete with any other team,” Alston shared to Bucky’s 5th Quarter. “The great coaching and the awesome energy is what stood out to me!!”
“I really like it there. All the coaches were great to me and the practice was very intense and energetic. Wisconsin is a real good place to be.”
Early in his recruitment, Alston has already picked up 12 scholarship offers, including ones from Purdue, Illinois, Tennessee, Indiana, and Kentucky, among others.
On his visit, Alston was able to connect with both cornerbacks coach Paul Haynes and head coach Luke Fickell where they talked about the development plan for the 2027 recruit.
It’s been a busy spring for the cornerback, who took visits to Georgia Tech, Illinois, Arkansas, Tennessee, Purdue, Louisville, and West Virginia, alongside his trip to Wisconsin.
Alston is also planning a return trip to Madison for the fall, looking to catch at least one game at Camp Randall Stadium as he maintains his relationship with the Badgers staff.
Alston is one of just eight players that Wisconsin has offered in the 2027 class, and just one of two cornerbacks.
