The Badgers had their top target on campus over the weekend for a key visit.
The Wisconsin Badgers hosted 2025 four-star forward E.J. Walker on an official visit this past weekend, marking the return to campus for one of the team’s top targets in the cycle.
The 6’8, 230-pound Kentucky native made his third trip to Wisconsin, and the first official visit of his schedule, as the Badgers maintained significant interest in the forward.
Walker has picked up 27 offers during the recruiting process, including ones from Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio State, Purdue, and Wisconsin in the Big Ten.
The expectation is that Walker will also head to Ohio State and Purdue for official visits, but the Badgers have seemingly put themselves in a good spot as they’ve continued to target the forward over the past year.
In the 2025 class, Wisconsin has a commitment from De Pere guard Zach Kinziger, while the Badgers added four-star Daniel Freitag and three-star Jack Robison to the mix in their 2024 class.
Wisconsin has struggled to recruit well at the forward spots over the past few years, with many players either not panning out, going elsewhere out of high school, or transferring early on.
If they can land Walker, that would mark a significant recruiting win for head coach Greg Gard and Co. as they look to build the roster for the future.
