The Badgers are losing one of their upperclassmen to the transfer portal.
Wisconsin Badgers defensive lineman Mike Jarvis is entering the transfer portal, he announced on Thursday.
A three-star recruit in the Class of 2021, the redshirt junior is a native of Medford, New Jersey, and had initially committed to Wisconsin over offers from Florida State, Indiana, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, and Rutgers, among others.
Jarvis enters the portal with two years of remaining eligibility, and will look to make his first career collegiate experience at his next destination.
The 6’4, 290-pound lineman is the second player from the position to enter the transfer portal this offseason, joining 2022 three-star T.J. Bollers, who committed to California earlier on Thursday.
Overall, Jarvis becomes the fourth transfer, joining Bollers, quarterback Nick Evers, and wide receiver Tommy McIntosh in exiting the program.
Currently, the Badgers are at 85 projected scholarships, which is in line with the limit for the summer, but are expected to still be active in the transfer portal, which could mean more action both in and out of the program.
