Wisconsin is doing well on the recruiting trail ahead of official visits.
The Wisconsin Badgers are creating some more steam on the recruiting trail, as they cracked the top five for coveted 2026 outside linebacker Mason Marden, he announced on Monday.
Thank you to all of the coaches who have recruited to me up to this point. I am grateful for the time you have taken to build relationships with me and my family. With that being said, I am down to my top 5 schools. Commitment date . AGTG

In addition to Wisconsin, Marden’s top five includes Oklahoma, Arizona State, Kansas, and Michigan State.
Wisconsin has seemingly been at the top of the linebacker’s recruitment throughout the process, but the Sooners came into the mix recently, offering the linebacker late last month. It’s notable that Oklahoma has cracked the top five, as it seems they could be the wildcard here in Marden’s recruitment.
Marden currently has official visits scheduled to Arizona State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Kansas, and the Badgers seem in a good spot after offering the Missouri linebacker back in January.
Wisconsin hasn’t taken an outside linebacker in the 2026 class yet, and is expected to take multiple, showing interest in several priority targets ahead of official visits.
Marden is firmly a part of that group, and the Badgers seem to be in a good spot ahead of official visits, which begin this weekend for the linebacker, starting with Arizona State.
Wisconsin is currently expected to host Marden during the weekend of June 14th.
