The Badgers are losing one of their redshirt freshman cornerbacks to the portal.
Wisconsin Badgers cornerback A.J. Tisdell is entering the transfer portal after one season with the team.
A three-star recruit from College Station, Texas in the Class of 2023, Tisdell was recruited by the former coaching staff, but remained committed to Wisconsin after the Badgers hired head coach Luke Fickell.
In their 2023 recruiting class, while the Badgers landed just 15 recruits in the class, they brought in six defensive backs, with several following Fickell to Wisconsin.
Among the group: Four-star Braedyn Moore, and three-stars Jonas Duclona, Jace Arnold, Amare Snowden, Justin Taylor, and Tisdell.
Moore and Taylor have moved to safety, while the other four players were seen at cornerback both last spring and this spring until Tisdell’s transfer.
The redshirt freshman primarily worked with the third-team defense during the spring, as the cornerback position has grown to be one of the deeper groups on the roster.
With Tisdell moving on, the Badgers still have 11 scholarship cornerbacks: R.J. Delancy, Nyzier Fourqurean, Max Lofy, Ricardo Hallman, Michael Mack, Duclona, Snowden, Arnold, Xavier Lucas, Jay Harper, and Omillio Agard.
During the spring, Mack and Lofy have primarily worked in the slot, while Delancy, Fourqurean, Duclona, Snowden, and Arnold have been on the outside.
