The Badgers are trying to get into the race for a 2025 offensive lineman after a recent visit.
The Wisconsin Badgers were able to bring 2025 three-star offensive lineman Isaac “Spike” Sowells Jr. for a spring visit earlier this month as they try to make up ground in his recruitment.

“I had an amazing time up there,” Sowells shared to Bucky’s 5th Quarter. “What stood out to me was the culture and great coaching staff they have.”
Sowells, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, is being viewed as an interior offensive lineman for the Badgers in the 2025 class.
During the visit, the three-star was able to tour the facilities, watch practice, and meet with the coaches, where offensive line coach A.J. Blazek made it known that Sowells was a priority for the Badgers.
“We’ve made big steps and trying to build a true relationship,” Sowells said of Blazek.
At the moment, Sowells has a busy summer schedule, with official visits set to South Carolina, Kentucky, Miami, and N.C. State already, making it tougher for the Badgers to secure one for the interior offensive lineman.
That comes after an extremely active spring schedule, where Sowells made visits to those schools, as well as Wisconsin and Louisville.
The 6’2, 295-pound lineman is the son of former NFL guard Isaac Sowells, who was selected in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.
