The Badgers missed out on of their top running back targets in the 2025 recruiting class.
Another domino has fallen in the 2025 recruiting class for the Wisconsin Badgers, as running back target Jace Clarizio is heading to Michigan State, he announced on Tuesday.

Clarizio, a three-star running back from East Lansing, Michigan, was one of the top targets at running back for the Badgers in the 2025 class, and was scheduled to make an official visit to Madison in a few weeks.
Standing 5’11, 185 pounds, Clarizio had made multiple visits to Madison, but is ultimately sticking with his hometown team and staying in Michigan to play for the Spartans.
The Badgers have three other official visits currently planned: Georgia running back Javin Gordon (weekend of June 7th), Nevada running back Cale Breslin (weekend of June 14th), and New Jersey running back John Forster (weekend of June 14th).
It feels like Wisconsin is primed to take one back in their 2025 class after landing three talented players in their 2024 recruiting class with four-stars Dilin Jones and Darrion Dupree and three-star Gideon Ituka.
For now, Clarizio may be off the list, as he’s committed to Michigan State, presenting a bit of a wrench in Wisconsin’s plans.
