The Badgers are bringing in a top four-star running back on an official visit.
The Wisconsin Badgers recently locked in an official visit with 2025 four-star running back Byron Louis, who will return to campus for the weekend of June 7th.
Louis has official visits with Ohio State and Miami set up as well, while schools like Florida State are also heavily in pursuit.
Heading into the summer, Louis revealed to Bucky’s 5th Quarter that the biggest reason behind his interest in Wisconsin is running backs coach Devon Spalding, as the two have grown their relationship over the past few months.
Back in February, Louis praised the running backs coach and shared interest in continuing to grow the relationship with Spalding.
“My relationship with Coach Spalding has grown over time to a good point,” Louis shared after Wisconsin’s Junior Day in February. “He is very passionate and knowledgeable about the game and he is ready for me to get to work.”
While Louis’s official visit schedule isn’t fully set yet, the running back plans to finalize that by May 1st, although the list likely includes the three schools mentioned above on top of Wisconsin.
A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the hometown appeal could be significant for the four-star running back, but Wisconsin has made it known that Louis is a priority on the team’s board for the 2025 class, with hopes of making him a Badger.
Currently, Wisconsin doesn’t have a running back in their 2025 class, but have recently shown interest in a number of recruits. However, the team did bring in three good players in their 2024 class: four-stars Darrion Dupree and Dilin Jones, and three-star Gideon Ituka.
