Video Of Giannis Antetokounmpo Celebrating NBA Title Is Going Viral

Newly-minted NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo usually comes off as cool, calm and collected. But when he’s in celebration mode, he is a sight to see.

On Wednesday he released a “morning after” video from celebrating last night’s NBA title win over the Phoenix Suns. He admitted in the video that he hasn’t slept “at all” since winning and jokingly said that he’s stolen the Larry O’Brien trophy.

“It’s 10 a.m. and I haven’t slept at all,” Giannis said with a smile. “I haven’t slept even for one minute… I’ve gotta get the trophy back to the team – I stole it. I stole the trophy from the organization. They’re looking for the trophy.”

The fans are adoring how much fun Giannis is already having now that he’s an NBA champion. That clip has several thousand likes and retweets on Twitter in the few minutes since it was published.

You can’t begrudge Giannis Antetokounmpo for wanting to enjoy the moment as long as he can though. He had a performance for the ages on Tuesday night, scoring 50 of the Milwaukee Bucks‘ 105 points while adding 14 rebounds to win Game 6 and cap off the team’s first NBA title in 50 years.

For his efforts throughout the series, which started with an 0-2 deficit to the Suns, Giannis earned Finals MVP.

“The Greek Freak” now has two NBA MVP awards, an NBA title, a Finals MVP and five All-Star appearances. And he’s only 26.

There’s a good chance that this won’t be the last time we see Giannis Antetokounmpo celebrating with the Larry O’Brien trophy after an all-nighter.
