Stephen A. Smith Has Interesting Comparison For Bucks Crowd Tonight

Stephen A. Smith looking on at the NBA Celebrity Game

Milwaukee’s “Deer District” has given us plenty of amazing crowds throughout this year’s playoffs — but tonight’s Game 6 crowd tops them all.

Fiserv Forum’s capacity tops out at 17,341 fans. Just outside in the arena in the Deer District? More than 65,000.

All packed in front of one giant projector screen, the massive Bucks crowd looks more like a music festival than a viewing party.

Ahead of tipoff on Tuesday night, ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith made this exact comparison, likening the Milwaukee crowd to Woodstock in 1969.

“This is absolute bananas. Outside in Deer Park it looks like WOODSTOCK from 1969 out here. This is CRAZY! Milwaukee can taste the championship. Literally…..it feels like!!!!” Smith wrote.

This crowd had a pretty good reason to come out in record-breaking numbers tonight. With a 3-2 series lead, the Bucks have a chance to close out at home with a title-clinching win — marking the franchise’s first and only NBA Finals victory since 1971.

Led by the stellar play of two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks will look to feed of this incredible energy in tonight’s consequential matchup.

On the other side of things, the Suns will have to overcome this electric atmosphere in order to force a Game 7 back in Phoenix.
