Report: Khris Middleton to make season debut Friday at Celtics

December 5, 2024 by Brew Hoop

NBA: Playoffs-Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers

The Bucks have been patiently waiting for his return

Milwaukee Bucks fans have finally gotten the news they’ve been waiting for, as per Bobby Marks of ESPN, Khris Middleton seems set to make his season debut this Friday against the Celtics:

Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton will make his season debut Friday night at Boston, sources tell ESPN.

Milwaukee Bucks beat writer Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel then confirmed Marks’ initial reporting:

Khris Middleton is, indeed, expected to make his season debut for the #Bucks in Boston.

Middleton has been working to return following surgery on both ankles. The word that’s been used to describe this all has been a process. It’s what Doc Rivers has used countless times any time he’s been asked about it.

Despite being medically cleared, Middleton hasn’t been rushing his return. He recently has been participating in five-on-five, which has been a big step forward. Now, the Bucks finally get a pillar of their franchise back on the court.

Surely, there will be a minutes restriction and that will be covered accordingly by Bucks media. This is something that Doc Rivers and his coaching staff will be cautious about, ensuring Middleton has a smooth return to the floor.

However, this is fantastic news for a Bucks team that’s rebounding after an uneventful start to the season.

Stay tuned to Brew Hoop for further updates that may unfold throughout the day regarding this news.
