After a rough Game 2 against the Chicago Bulls ended with an injury to All-Star forward Khris Middleton, the Milwaukee Bucks will be without him entirely for Game 3.
ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Thursday that Middleton has been ruled out indefinitely. He’s dealing with an MCL sprain in his left knee and can’t even be evaluated again for another two weeks.
As a result, Middleton is out for the remainder of this current playoff round. He’ll in all likelihood miss the Eastern Conference Semifinals if the Bucks make it that far.
NBA fans are pretty gutted for Middleton and the Bucks right now. Just about everyone is acknowledging what a big blow this injury is for the reigning NBA champions:
Huge blow without Middleton who help lead them to a championship last season for #Bucks https://t.co/1WO7EvBZOZ

For the third year in a row and fourth time in five years, Khris Middleton averaged over 20 points a game in the regular season. The 2021-22 season wasn’t the best year he’s ever had, but Middleton still proved to be one of the NBA’s elite small forwards.
Middleton averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists during the regular season. For his effort, he made the All-Star Game for the third time in four years.
More importantly, Middleton came up big for the Bucks when they won the NBA title last year. Losing him for up to two playoff rounds may be too much to overcome.
Will the Bucks be able to put away the Chicago Bulls with Khris Middleton out?
