The Miami Heat will not trade for Ja Morant if it compromises their ability to make a run at Giannis Antetokounmpo, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
It was stated last week that the Heat are not looking to take back any long-term deals and are focused on cap flexibility, especially for the summer of 2027.
Antetokounmpo, Donovan Mitchell and Nikola Jokic could be free agents that summer.
Morant has expressed interest in the Heat, though trade discussions between the two sides were described as “premature.“
The Bucks will require a trade demand from Antetokounmpo in order to move the superstar.
