Giannis Antetokounmpo will suit up for Greece at this summer’s EuroBasket 2022. There had been an open question if Antetokounmpo would play for the Greek National Team this summer.
EuroBasket will run from September 1 to September 18. Greece is in Group C and will play games in Italy during the preliminary round. Joining Greece in Group C are Croatia, Estonia, Great Britain, Italy and Ukraine.
Antetokounmpo has previously played for Greece at the 2014 and 2019 FIBA World Cups, 2015 EuroBasket and in Olympic Qualifiers in 2016. Overall, the Milwaukee Bucks star has appeared in 22 games for Greece at the senior national team level.
