Team has hit a stride since the trade deadline
The Milwaukee Bucks have begun to settle into their new rhythms since the last time the full Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!) crew got together to chat. Kyle Kuzma brings a certain chaotic energy to both ends of the floor that keeps you guessing. Kevin Porter Jr. burst into the rotation, looked good, then looked not so good. Andre Jackson Jr. and Ryan Rollins have disappeared entirely, and Taurean Prince is a starting shooting guard in 2025. Oh, and Bobby Portis got himself suspended for 25 games.
And it seems to be working! All of it! If a 7-3 record since the deadline is anything to go by, that is.
Kyle, Adam, and I got together last night to go through those successes with a particular focus on the post-All Star Break run the Bucks are currently on. What are our early impressions of the newest rotation additions? Has Doc Rivers retaken a new level of importance with the increased number of viable players on the roster? And if the NBA Playoffs were all single-elimination games, would the Bucks be heavy favorites for more hardware? Where does all this recent success leave Bobby Portis post-suspension?
We chat about all that, plus rapid fire questions (PJ Tucker? Thanasis Antetokounmpo???), Kyle’s review of the new limited series Court of Gold, weekly predictions, and much more!
