Dark Horse Team Mentioned For Blockbuster Bradley Beal Trade

It’s looking more and more like Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal is going to be traded this offseason.

There have been rumors of a Beal trade percolating recently, and on Wednesday, Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic reported that the three-time All-Star and the Wizards brass “have a mutual understanding” that they will collaborate to find a suitable trade partner should the team look to rebuild.

Charania also mentioned the Miami Heat as having a “significant” interest in Beal before tossing out a potential dark horse destination.

“I’m told another team looming as a potential suitor in the marketplace…the Milwaukee Bucks,” Charania said.

The Bucks, who won the NBA championship in 2021, were the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference this year, only to fall to the eighth-seeded Heat in the first round.

Milwaukee was without the services of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo for two of the five games in that first round series due to injury. It’s believed that the Bucks could look to do some roster retooling around Giannis this offseason, which is where Beal could potentially factor in.

Beal played in 50 games this past season, averaging 23.2 points per outing while shooting a career-best 50.6% from the field.
