Colin Cowherd Thinks Patrick Beverley Should Be Suspended For Half The Season

If Colin Cowherd was in charge of handling Patrick Beverley’s incident with an Indiana Pacers fan, he wouldn’t let the veteran guard for the Milwaukee Bucks off the hook.

During Thursday night’s game between the Bucks and Pacers, Beverley chucked a basketball at a fan. According to The Athletic, the fan yelled “Cancun on three” at Milwaukee’s bench.

Cowherd believes Beverley’s actions were so absurd that he deserves to get suspended for half of the 2024-25 season.

“A player throws a ball at a player he may get a one game suspension. At a ref, could be closer to five,” Cowherd wrote on X. “At a fan, expect half a season. It crosses a line that is NOT REMOTELY acceptable. Can’t even compare it, to player on player aggression, and teams/leagues don’t.”

That might be a bit too harsh, but the NBA should discipline Beverley in some capacity.

To make matters worse, Beverley’s incident with the Pacers fan wasn’t the only egregious thing he did on Thursday. During his postgame media availability, he refused to speak with ESPN producer Malinda Adams because she wasn’t subscribed to his podcast.

“Can you move that mic and get out of the circle for me please, mam? If you’re not subscribed to my pod? Thank you, I appreciate that,” Beverley said.

There are conflicting reports about Beverley being banned from ESPN’s programming. A definitive update has not yet been announced.

Suffice to say, Beverley ended his 2023-24 season with a bang.
