The NBA Cup has fan optimism on the upswing
In this week’s Tuesday Tracker, we asked you about the NBA Cup Final, the Bucks’ performance during the knockout stage, and Bobby Portis’ recent solid play. We also got your opinion on the state of the defense. Here are the highlights:
- 82% of respondents felt the Cup championship game was meaningful to them as fans, and slightly under half of them cited the trophy as their reasoning.
- 73% are more optimistic about the Bucks’ playoff chances based on the NBA Cup, and the majority of them (63%) are specifically more bullish that they could win it all next summer.
- Echoing previous polling, 75% of fans polled want the title game to count in the standings in some way.
- A pretty even split feel that the Bucks’ defense is above average or even top ten (49%) as compared to around average (47%).
- Half of voters approve of Jon Horst and 60% approve of Doc Rivers; the first time this year that either has broken the 50% line.
The percentage of those who believe the Bucks can win a championship with this roster stayed about the same, but those who disagree fell 8%, the widest gap by which “yes” has won so far this season.
Thanks again for voting! Check back on Tuesday for another slate of questions.
