While many are amenable to a Khris Middleton trade, most feel Zach LaVine isn’t the answer
In this week’s Tuesday Tracker, we asked you about if trading Khris Middleton would or wouldn’t be advisable for the Bucks this season, particularly if it’s for Zach LaVine. We also talked about trade deadline strategy and team needs with the deadline now just six days away. Here are the highlights:
- A majority (56%) of our respondents are in favor of trading Middleton between now and Thursday, however, 71% of them would only do it if the Bucks receive an All-Star caliber player in the deal.
- Though LaVine fits that bill, 57% are not in favor of him coming to Milwaukee with two years and $95m left on his contract after this season.
- A decisive 86% of voters wouldn’t include the Bucks’ 2031 first-round pick in a LaVine trade alongside Middleton, plus necessary salary matching of Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton.
- Only 29% of fans polled think LaVine would improve the Bucks’ title chances, while 40% think he would hurt them.
- While the Bucks’ defense remains in the top-10, 85% feel they need another stopper, and slightly over half think it should be a point-of-attack defender.
- Very slight majorities approve of Doc Rivers and Jon Horst, with a good 27–32% undecided on either.
Thanks again for voting! Check back on Tuesday for another slate of questions.
