A Bucks alum drops by the Hear District
Just a couple of pods from us and the team at Bucks+ this week, with a neat player interview with one of my favorite former Bucks. But first, we start with the home team, as always.
Riley is back in the hosting chair of Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast) as we’re very glad he’s healthy, joined by usual co-host Kyle Carr and our co-managing editor emeritus (yes, that’s his official title) Adam Paris for a look at the trade deadline in just over a week. I will add that Riley got a little confused with the second apron stuff at the beginning, which is understandable since the rules are so arcane, getting the example transaction backward, but that doesn’t change the meat of the episode:

We also have George Hill as the guest with Marques and Kris Johnson this week on Hear District. Hill talks about his early career in San Antonio with Tim Duncan, comparisons to Giannissome interesting goings-on around the Jrue Holiday trade, which he was involved in, the 2018–19 Bucks, and his final season in Milwaukee. I recall he had a neck injury, but it wasn’t until now I understood the extent of it. He faced a lot of flak from fans in 2022–23, and he touches on that a little bit too:
