The Milwaukee Bucks just drafted Bogo, and they will soon enact another, re-signing Thanasis Antetokounmpo as a BOGO alongside his brother Giannis. Marc Stein reports that they “are expected to re-sign Antetokounmpo’s brother Thanasis if their superstar indeed remains in Brewtown,” an if that really seems like a when at this juncture.
Thanasis tore his Achilles in May last year after a season of barely playing and hype manning. He spent the year rehabbing in the gym and Thanalyzing on his pod. This move would make him the 14th member of the 15-man roster, presumably on a vet’s minimum.
If Chris Livingston showed anything during his two years in the Association, it’s that the last man on the roster doesn’t mean much. If Thanasis’ presence moves the needle on Giannis staying in “Brewtown” even an iota, this is a good move.
