An important piece of the recovery center will also be scholarships offered in part through the Vin Baker Bouncing Back Foundation for those who cannot afford treatment, who are uninsured or underinsured. “It really takes a village,” Baker said. “We all know someone, friend, distant friend – it’s addiction. It’s kind of a world we all live in, whether we’re directly connected to it or third person connected to it, or maybe a family member, it’s just one of those things that I think we all have some connection to. And if you don’t have a connection to a person, you might be able to empathize or sympathize with someone who is struggling with addiction. It’s about awareness. It’s about raising money to help someone get through.”
