Quinn Priester to follow opener as series kicks off against Washington
The Brewers start their series against the Washington Nationals on Friday night as Milwaukee looks to build on its four-game winning streak.
DL Hall is set to be the opener. He holds a 2.29 ERA so far this season in 10 appearances, striking out 13 batters in 19 2⁄3 innings.
Quinn Priester will be responsible for the bulk of the team’s innings. He’s been on a solid run with a 2.84 ERA over his last seven games, carried across 38 innings, but his most recent performance was a four-run struggle against the Marlins.
Sal Frelick sticks in the leadoff spot, joined in the outfield by Jackson Chourio and Isaac Collins.
Around the infield, Caleb Durbin starts at third base alongside Joey Ortiz, Brice Turang, and Andrew Vaughn.
Behind the plate is William Contreras with Christian Yelich batting cleanup as the designated hitter.
The Nationals are sending out Mitchell Parker to make his 19th start. It’s been a bumpy season for Parker, pitching to a 4.72 ERA. He has allowed at least three runs in four of his last five starts.
In other roster news for Milwaukee, Aaron Ashby was placed on the paternity list. Tobias Myers was recalled from Triple-A to provide the team with another arm. Outfielder Blake Perkins was also sent out on a rehab assignment to Triple-A.
First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. on FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network. The full lineups are posted below.
