Crew looks to take series in Miami
The Brewers are set for their penultimate road game in the first half this afternoon, as they’ll take on the Marlins in game two of three in Miami.
After taking Friday night’s game by a final of 6-5, the Brewers will look to clinch the series against Cal Quantrill and the rest of this Miami squad, winners of 10 of their last 13 entering Saturday.
Opposing Quantrill is Chad Patrick, who is coming off a solid outing against the Rockies, when he went five scoreless frames. Overall, this season, he has a 3.51 ERA and 3.42 FIP.
In the lineup, there aren’t any surprises, as Pat Murphy is rolling with almost an identical lineup from Friday. The lone change is Rhys Hoskins is in at first base, with Jake Bauers on the bench after getting the start yesterday. Isaac Collins drops down to seventh in the order as Hoskins takes the sixth spot.
In a small transaction announced prior to today’s game, outfielder Daz Cameron, who was designated for assignment earlier this week, cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville, per Adam McCalvy.
