Freddy Peralta starts the series opener

The Brewers were able to wrap up their series in St. Louis with a win, and now they have the chance to build upon that against the struggling Chicago White Sox.

Freddy Peralta gets the start for Milwaukee in what will be his seventh start of the year. With a 2.43 ERA, it’s been a promising start to his season. He is still striking out more than a batter per inning while seeing improvements in his HR/9 and BB/9 ratios.

They’ll be facing a former Brewer as Bryse Wilson takes the mound for Chicago after opener Tyler Gilbert. Wilson spent the past two seasons in Milwaukee, and he makes his second start of the season. He has appeared in 10 games in total, working a 4.30 ERA with 10 strikeouts across 14 2⁄3 innings. In his last start, he pitched 2 2⁄3 innings, so it might be unlikely for Wilson to go deep in this game.

Isaac Collins will be the starting center fielder, and Christian Yelich will slot into the designated hitter role today. Alongside Collins, Jackson Chourio and Sal Frelick will be tasked with patrolling the outfield grass.

Going left to right in the infield, Caleb Durbin, Joey Ortiz, Brice Turang, and Rhys Hoskins form a familiar lineup. Durbin has been showing why he is a promising talent with an impressive week statistically, hitting to a .899 OPS over his last seven games.

Here are the full lineups for this afternoon. First pitch is set for 6:40 p.m. on FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network.
