The Brewers try to break a two-game losing streak with Wade Miley on the mound
For the first time this season, the Brewers are facing a losing streak. They’ve lost their last two games, which includes the first game of their series against the Padres. It’s a new day in Milwaukee now, and the Brewers have a chance to get back on the winning side in tonight’s game.
Wade Miley is making the start tonight for the Brewers. It’s his second start of the season after coming off of the IL. His first start was last week on Wednesday, and he allowed just one run in four innings of work. He only got to 52 pitches, so hopefully he will be able to get a little deeper in the game in this start. Last season he was usually in the 80 to 90 pitch range each start.
Willy Adames moves up to third in the batting order tonight, with Sal Frelick moving back to the leadoff spot. Rhys Hoskins will get the DH spot tonight with Jake Bauers starting at first base. William Contreras continues his role as the No. 2 hitter by filling the spot for the 15th time in 16 games this season.
Here are the lineups for today’s game. As usual, it will be broadcast on Bally Sports Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network. First pitch is at 6:40 p.m.
