This is the second career All-Star selection for the veteran right-hander
Starting pitcher Freddy Peralta will be the lone player representing the Brewers at the 2025 All-Star Game.
Peralta, who’s been with Milwaukee since 2018, currently sports a 2.91 ERA (138 ERA+) with 9.5 K/9. He’s been the most dependable member of a rotation plagued by injuries during the early part of the season.
Peralta is no stranger to the occasional stressful inning, but he always gets the job done. The veteran right-hander has allowed three runs or fewer in all but one of his 18 starts this season.
He gets outs by using a full arsenal of pitches, changing speeds and locations with aplomb. Peralta features a fastball averaging 94.9 mph, a plus curveball, a shape-shifting slider, and a changeup that he throws about 20% of the time.
This is Peralta’s second career All-Star selection and his first since 2021. He’s currently tied for the National League lead in wins, with nine.
